I downloaded your file. When replying I chose “Upload a File” and then chose full image instead of thumbnail.

This site can be fussy sometimes. I saw a posting today with 5 photos. The last 2 messed up.

I have been looking to have a blank made for mine. Do you have any details on where you got the blank from, brand, or manufacturer? I spoke with my locksmith and he said I would need to get a blank and they wanted a fortune ~$30 for it online for the prius.

According to post 15 they made their own. According to the post you quoted they started with a safe deposit box key blank.

My last day at sea on the Star Princess! I found a safe deposit box keyblank that was the correct thickness and larger than I needed. I cut it down so it is the same as the Toyota blank. I then put it in my laser key cutting machine and voila! It works.

FYI, we charge C$35 for that key.

Actually, it would be of great use if you had a fob inside the car...(with the battery removed)...

Metal key duplicated at Lowe's for approx 3$
Used amazon blank, removed metal part after heating.
Cut new duplicate and glued it into the plastic part.

2G fobs use "standard" key blanks that are easy to find.

The ones being discussed in this thread are NOTHING like yours.
