We just bought a 2024 XSE Prime Premium with advanced tech package and more, but the toyota app (having now been reinstalled numerous times) does show any place to subscribe to connected services or does not show any real live info on the car. The lock and unlock and start functions are only visable when I press and hold the Toyota icon on my Android 10 samsung phone, but do not work for any of those functions. The Android Auto works fine while bluetooth connected, but I want to also try and perhaps subscribe to the connected services so I have a navigation backup, and can use the phone as a fob replacement - since the fobs are only being given out now as 1 fob per car due to backups in Toyotas production. Sure sometime in the future I will get a 2nd FOB but now I have 1. Has anyone experienced this and what was done to remedy this? Thanks in advance (this is my first post in a long long time, my first Prius was a 2002, then we tried out a couple different EV type PHEN/EV cars, going back to this new Prius.).

I have the same car. While impressive on many levels, in order to see details of what is on Sirius or the radio I have to tap Settings>Toyota app>Music notes then find what I want to listen to (no scrolling with a knob or Seek/Scan; it's tap, tap, tap, tap), then hit the small screen with minimal info for it to become larger with more info. There is no way to do this while the GPS is running, which I use a lot. What it will tell me with GPS is what's playing on Pandora that I'm not even listening to. Gee, thanks.

Salesmen who is very tech savvy could not figure it out, took photos, was going to ask someone. That was two weeks ago. Reached out to Toyota Brand Engagement. They said I had to have it officially serviced first before they could do anything. There goes more time I will never get back. I have the impression they really can't do anything, this is the way it is. I'm hoping I'm wrong. Perhaps I should reach out to someone else?

Not only is all of this annoying, it's dangerous to try to do while driving. (Plus the "Driver Inattention Detected" warning will chastise you AND be reported in your driving history.). This is so maddening it has taken away a lot of the pleasure driving it. I wonder if the last gen of the Prime has this issue? My previous car was a 2008 Prius with over 216,000 trouble-free miles. I loved it. Then it developed issues and was no longer reliable. I wanted the Prime SE but any new Prime is so hard to find I took this one. I can't believe Toyota would allow such a flaw so I'm trying to be optimistic it's a simple fix. I'll let you know what I find out.

Okay, small progress. This is an Android Audio/Toyota app interface issue. If you have an iPhone you may not have this issue. I had to download the Sirius app on my phone and then, with a couple of taps, I could access the new presets I had to put in there. Still, tap, tap tap while driving. I think if I can figure out how to load my presets into the "For You" screen it will just take a swipe to a new screen and the steering wheel may allow me to scroll through channels. No one seems to know how to do this. I would love to hear from others experiencing this problem.

I knew there would be a lot of changes after 16 years from my last car, but I've driven my husband's 2021 Camry quite a bit and didn't think the audio system and screen in mine would be that much different. It is.
