How much should I expect? I replaced the brakes, tires, and actuator at 140k, hybrid battery at 180k and inverter water pump, water pump, transmission fluid, brake fluid, ignition battery, and spark plugs at 195k.

It depends a lot on the other things you haven't talked about yet. Collisions? Rust? Are you in the northeast salt areas, or the southwest deserts?

Pricing tends to be based on region you live in and you don't indicate that, so I can't offer much advice... Have you tried online websites that ask you questions and create an estimate for you?

What are the current miles? Condition of the paint, interior? I would say start at 4 or 4.5 and see what happens. But you need to do a little more research, look on facebook and craigslist to see what local pries are like.

I just paid $2500 for my 2007. I had to clean dog hair from every nook and cranny as well as all surfaces. I also had to repair the combo meter. The clear on the paint is coming off all over it. The hood was so bad I got another from the junkyard that happened to be the same color. Cargo carpet looked like someone had threw up all over it so I got one from the junkyard. I'm into it for around $2800 at the moment. Mileage on it is 135,000 but who knows how long the combo meter was out.

There's a local used car lot here that has a low mileage one that looks like and old lady only drove it on Sundays. They're asking $12,000 LOL but it's been for sale for months and months. They'll never get that price.

Search with Autotrader and Edmunds. They tend to have mostly dealers though.

Craigslist has more individual sellers (and a lot of shady people on both sides of transactions).

You might also take it into Carmax to see what they offer. Maybe not the highest possible offer, but they will not try to scam you out of the car like a Craigslist buyer might. I have found that they offer far more than typical car dealerships.

Finally, consider calling a taxi company. I see a lot Prius cabs both Gen 2 and Gen 3 (Los Angeles area) and they might want/need it more than some random Joe.

This is a good idea. You can double whatever Carmax offers and put it on Craigslist yourself.

    MY guess?
    2500 OBO.

This site has a "Cars for sale" sub-forum.
    It's not E-bay.
Post 5 good quality pictures, and ask for $4000 OBO.

    See what happens.
