    Happy? Yes
Turns out that a neighbor (5 houses away) has the same model and color!

If higher trim levels have more technology, then I'm super glad I'm with the base trim. (My very first car did not even have a heater.) Glad I did not upgrade, as the distractions are already more than I can handle at times.

Well, since you asked, I am quite happy with my 24 Prime SE. I ordered it (Chill White) and was delighted to find 95% of the things I like on wife's AWD XLE were there. I miss the dash accent lights, but not enough to put them in. I actually prefer the cloth seats, and especially the 17 inch wheels. The big wheels on her XLE are just too much and detract from ride quality. I'd like to have rear light bar but again not enough to pay and retrofit it. The price difference in Canada is north of 4K and definitely not worth it to me.

If it turns out the light bar is a couple LEDs in the future then I'd do it. But not otherwise.

Also got a rock chip on the bumper 2 weeks in. But that's ok, because it's a daily driver commuter car. I just want it to make it to the spring without massive water mark stains in the paint to ceramic coat and make keeping it clean easier

Didn't want to spend multiple months of payments on a professional to do it.

    Thank you for the reply!
Sorry to hear about the rock chip on the bumper, that does suck
I'm kind of on the fence about having PPF installed to try to avoid them, but would it really help.....

I ordered a Prime SE in Wind Chill myself from a local dealer 3-6 month wait. Although recently, I am starting to get calls from other dealerships I visited months ago, that all of a sudden that have SE's available. TBD I guess.
    Thanks for the reply.

And they continue to be called “bumpers”, lol. They ceased to serve that function around 1983.

I think they are technically 'bumper covers' now. The actual bumper is an ugly steel beam underneath.

I've been checking and lots of Prime SEs at MSRP in DC area. Still unobtainium in Canada.

I believe someone was checking the IZEV program for 2023 and Canada had only received around 1100 Primes or so. It was far less than I thought. 2024 might be different but I don't think that data is out yet. Cool way to check quantities though.

2024 is probably different because since I got mine 2 weeks ago, ive seen 3 other 2024 primes out on the road in my city and a handful of non-primes.

In all of 2023 I saw two gen 5 prius, not prime models, just two different colour prius HEVs.

Only one prius was available for test drive in my city through most of 2023. Now every dealer has a 2024 for test driving purposes.
