Didn't see a recent thread in the last few years, so decided to create a new one.

Picked up an UltraGauge MX v1.4, with gen 3 specific programming. In addition to all the standard OBD2 gauges, it supports a few extra ones including battery SOC, Amps, battery intake temp, etc. Some parameters are frivolous, but some are definitely useful.

Just installed mine and have not played with it much, but it's a nifty little tool. Going to set mine up to monitor coolant temp, RPM, oil temps, and maybe a few more.

Gen 3 specific parameters, and UG mounted below.

A Gen 3 Prius does not have an oil temperature sensor, so you can not display it.
FYI, the car also does not have an oil pressure sensor.

Im curious if it'll read TPMS PSI of each tire like inTechstream or using my OBD2 dongle.

??? Then what is that oil pressure switch that leaks on the rear passenger side of the
engine? It's just above or to the side of the timing chain tensioner and looks like there
is an oil passage there. How does the computer know if you have oil presser or not?

And when the oil warning light comes on, I believe that’s due to low oil pressure?

I should have said that the car does not have an oil pressure transducer, which transmits the oil pressure to the ECM. It does have the oil pressure switch, which will send a signal to the ECM for low oil pressure. Sorry for the confusion.

I believe I missread that. You said "oil Temerature" not "oil Pressure"..... Sorry...

In the second sentence, I did say oil pressure. So you did not missread what I wrote.

How fast was the shipping, did they respond quickly?

Their website seems very dated and there is no contact information.

What payment options do they take?

Any update on your use of this product?

You may be able to. The MX version states you can program multiple gauges in the unit, you just have to have the manufacturer code to do it. Apparently Scangauge XGauge parameters can be made to work in the UG, and their list for the Gen 3 specific is pretty big. » TOYOTA – LEXUS – SCION Scroll about 2/3 down. Listed manufacturer codes include traction battery temp, inverter coolant temp, tire pressures and tire temps (I believe the factory sensors support this but have not confirmed).

UG doesn't do much advertising, it's pretty much all word of mouth. There's a few platforms that the UG is popular with - a bunch of Land Cruiser and Tacoma guys run these.
Payment was via PayPal, shipped out 2 days after I purchased via USPS. Going to be playing with it more tomorrow and trying to program those extra parameters in.. stay tuned.

The distance to empty display on these and gallons in tank doesn't seem to be accurate at all on mine. Hybrid Assistant APP actually is pretty good with those.
