I’ve noticed that when I remotely start my car, Apple Car Play doesn’t connect. Has anyone else noticed this phenomenon? Is there a way to force the connection without shutting off the car and restarting?
Go to Bluetooth settings on the radio and select connect to your phone. Another way is to use a usb cable to connect Apple Car Play instead of wireless car play.
unless I can find a case for my I phone Model SE that’s not fiddly in the charge slot as many are I’m thinking on my phone mount by the shifter shaft having a short USB C really short up to my magnetic phone mount Im a bit of a tech noob(75 years young) where a you buy a 12” cord? USB c to apple se ? Can’t just I charge my phone with short12 “ cord and have direct connection to Car Play and when I’m in the car just plug it in put phone done charging at the same time seems like the easiest way to take charge of the screen Im 3 days in on a 2024 pearl white LTD Coming from early 2010 gen 3 loaded every option from new 146000 had for 14 years fantastic car Right away noticing CC buttons set up on wheel is very UNergonomic old style joystick paddle @4 o’clock was very convenient I’ll get used to it but you now have peck at the wheel to to use CC very UNN UNNN ergonomic But lots to like for sure just getting my feet wet
Another way to do it if you've started driving and can't divert attention to the controls is to hold the round volume button down for a few seconds and reboot the infotainment system. It will take a few seconds, but it does the same thing as shutting off and restarting the car.
First week confusion not going to use wireless case was wondering if usb c cable made any difference in car play experience Was rambling a bit lots of new tech to master…sorry
