Just to let you all know about this UK deal from Toyota dealers. It's probably nationwide, not sure how long for. I Just bought 5L of 0w20 oil, oil filter, pollen filter, air filter, and sump screw gasket, all genuine stuff from local Toyota dealer (Johnsons@Liverpool) all in for £78.16. Good enough of a deal that I bought the same deal for my partners Urban Cruiser (a bit cheaper at ~£70).
Mendal drives to his local oil change olace with his own container and buys in bulk which is cost saving. Id like to see him drive to uk and bulk up on oil and see how much he saves!
I used too, and it was a Toyota dealership, getting say 10 litres Toyota 0W20 at a time, for as little as $3~4 CDN per. With two motives: to save money, and avoid adding oil contaminated bottles to the recycle stream. Then about 3 years back they did a turnaround: first price escalating to over $10 per litre, and finally flat out refusal to sell. Now I’m just getting Costco Kirkland oil, 2-packs of 5 quart containers. Delivered to my door free. Progress, I guess…
