There is no park assist button to initiate park assist. am i to assume that park assist is not installed in our Prius. thanks... manual burnout today
Button between the steering column and the engine start button. Has a steering wheel with a P. You only get Advanced Park with the Advanced Technology Package. Includes the Panoramic View Monitor as well as the heated rear seats and digital rearview mirror.
I just found this: "2024 Toyota Prius has front and rear parking assist with automatic braking as standard on the XLE and Limited grades. The LE grade has parking assist available, and the XSE trims have front and rear parking assist with autonomous braking as standard"
Not the same thing. Toyota parking assist means you get audible and visual warnings as you get close to objects. Toyota advanced park means the car parks itself. From context, I'm assuming the OP was asking about the car being able to park itself.
From context, I'm assuming the OP was asking about the car being able to park itself. that is correct...the manual foot note {page 21} says to refer to the multimedia owners manual for advance park and camera switch which do not exist anywhere in the car.
Did your Prius include the Advanced Technology package? That gives the parking functionality as well as digital rear view mirror.
Yes. So how does one initiate park assist with this advance Technology? Thanks What is advanced technology package in Prius? Go all the way with Prius Prime Technology Package, featuring even more advanced features including: a colour head-up display, a 10-speaker JBL sound system, and rain-sensing wipers along with enhanced safety features including Blind Spot Monitor and more.
Again, the Advanced Technology Package is Advanced Park and Panoramic View Monitor(360° cameras). The package also automatically adds the Digital Rearview Mirror and Heated Rear Seats(though those last two can be added separately from the Advanced Tech Package). If you have the Advance Tech Package, there will be two buttons between the steering column and the engine start button. The Advanced Park button will be the one with the steering wheel symbol and a little P. If you don't have the buttons, you don't have the package. BTW, the answer you quoted from your question to Google is for previous generations of Priuses, not a 2023-24.
You can also test by flipping the rearview mirror to the hi-beam mode. If it switches to a video display then you have the Advanced Tech Package.
Probably but not necessarily. The Digital Rearview Mirror is offered as a stand-alone option. So a car can have the DRM without the Advance Tech Package, but you can't have the ATP without the DRM. Same goes with the heated rear seats. The ATP includes them, but you can also get them on their own.
