I did an oil change on my 2005 yesterday and noticed there was no crush washer between the drain bolt and the pan. I reinstalled and filled with oil and didn't see any oil seeping/leaks. Did the Gen 2 not have a crush washer?

Either later person didn't pit it on, or it was still stuck to the pan, as opposed to coming off with the drain bolt.

I have seen where people inadvertently double up crush washers because hey did not notice that the old one was stuck the pan.

Mine pretty much always stick to the pan. Tenaciously enough that I have to be very mindful popping them off to not scratch the mating surface on the pan....

I get a few generic plastic ones from the auto parts store and change them out fairly regularly. Not every oil change. They're cheap, and I gotta get my oil somewhere.
