Just when I was starting to think this car (23 XSE) was perfect, had my first error message. Drove to class, and then the lane-keeping assist features stopped working when I got back. This message kept popping up as soon as I closed it the whole drive home.

Note that the windshield is relatively clean, and I did try the wipers to see if anything was covering the sensors.
Have any of y'all had any issues with this?

Scheduling my dealer service tomorrow as soon as they reopen, wish me luck!

Other people have traced similar problems to the need for a monthly subscription fee...

Ignore PriusCamper. Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Departure Alert have absolutely nothing to do with any subscription. (From the symbol, I think your problem is Lane Departure Alert.)

Taking it into the dealer is the best thing to do. You could also do a walkaround to see if there are any obvious problems with any of the sensors or cameras. And double-check the camera in the grille(if you have one) as well as the one near the rearview mirror for any obstructions. Finally, you didn't say if this was a persistent problem. So, if you haven't already done so, see if shutting the car off and restarting it changes anything.

Realized about an hour after i got home that I should have just tried turning it on and off again, lol. I'll check it out tomorrow.

Hey there, might seem a little too simple but you should try and clean all your sensors, I had snow blocking couple of my sensors and it disabled my CC and LKA. Cheers!

Is that pic taken where you first started the car? Do you remember anything weird or different the first time you saw and canceled the message?
Typically, the message will go away as soon as the systems clear whatever problem caused the message, if one of the sensors sees something it shouldn't or can't see something it should.
Yeah, I know, a lot of help that is the first time you see a message like that.

I've had the same thing, twice. Each time, after a few cycles of on/off driving, it went away on its own. Next time I'm in at dealer I'll ask about it, but for me not worth a service appointment, the car seems fine.

Turned it back on, still giving the error message. I might try cleaning the sensors tomorrow too, didn't get around to it today.
Either way, service scheduled for Friday.

Yep, pic taken just after starting the car. Nothing weird or different. Whole drive home (45 minutes) I kept exiting out of the error message, it every time it would reopen immediately.

I was under the impression that the LKA was managed by the sensors behind the windshield? My CC still worked, just didn't let me turn on the lane tracing.
I did try using the wipers, but that didn't help.

It also uses at least some of the other sensors. It can detect when you are passing someone or someone is passing you and it shifts the car a little away from the other car. (Though if it really was one of the other sensors, you'd think you'd be getting warnings from the DRCC or obstacle avoidance systems as well.)

I had no idea it was that advanced! Neat.
    Yep, DRCC worked just fine.

I was looking at the other cars and that green thing that looks like it's just to the front left of the car.
If any of those things / cars in your pic is the reason for the message, even if you did restart the car without moving it to a new location without any obstructions in front of your car, the message might have come back again anyway. Only way you'll know for sure is if you car reproduce the behavior in a very similar parked arrangement.

Started it up again at home with no one parked in front - same error message, unfortunately.

I hope you've got plenty of pics of that message at different times, in case it goes away just as you dropping it off at the dealer, which has happened before.

That message came on for me but the sensors were covered with snow. Cleared the snow off and the message went away.

No snow in my part of California, wish it was that straightforward. All sensors seem to be clean.

Worse case is someone bumped the car in the parking lot, and it knocked a sensor out of alignment or damaged a wire connection.
