Does anyone know the difference between the following MFD part numbers. 86110-47220 7 keys, US version with navigation and Bluetooth. 86110-47260 7 keys, US version with navigation and Bluetooth. My understanding is that 86110-47220 is from 2008 and 86110-47260 is 2009. Is there any other difference ?, Can I replace 86110-47260 (2009) with 86110-47220 (2008). Apparently, the pins look the same. Thanks
Probably? Here's someone who did the reverse of what you're doing - putting a 47260 into a 47220 car.
Those two will interchange 08 and '09 with nav If you didn't use the nav then all of this and that nonsense you could even use the four button out of the '08 or '09 You just won't be able to plug up the blue plug on the back and the other plug that's used but the power plug is the same between all three to be honest about it but the 20 and the 60 with GPS and nav will swap out done it right here got one of the '60s hanging and a 20 replaced it the screen on the 60 was kind of yucky. So I know they'll swap I have all four of the different cars here I have 08 and '09 with and without GPS and I have an '05 that was completely loaded with HID GPS and all of it and then I've got an '08 silver car leather JBL that's completely loaded with nav and everything and that's the card that I swapped to 60 in the 20 in between because of the screen and I have all the broken MFDs sitting here in a box.
I have the JBL and Nav, but I don't use Nav at all, these maps are really old. I'll swap 60 with 20. These Touring MFD's are hard to find. Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.
If you look on the back of all the MFDs the plug that's pretty central it's not as wide as the other plug and it has the sideways pins in it in like six positions and the rest of the pins are the little tiny round easily damaged things this is the cord that supplies power and all that to all the MFDs the longer wider plug the blue plug and the other plug all go for navigation and other functions so usually when you get the plug with the sideways power pins in it that look like narrow spade connections and the little pins in it once that's plugged up the MFD should light up when you turn the car on and should function as a normal MSD if you will without NAV and all the nonsense I'm not sure what will happen if you push the nav button when you have this installed in a regular car haven't really tried all the buttons or don't remember what happened when I did All I was trying to do was get the silly thing to light up like it was before without the damaged screen and it did work The blue plug the skinny white plug in the wide white plug are just hanging in the back like they are if you don't have nav and all that.
