Sometimes references to an image URL in another forum fails: Not shown, $18,300 trade-in for a 2017 Prius Prime. So I only had to pay: $24,400 = $42700 - $18300 In Alabama, they did not charge sales tax on the money saved by the trade-in. So only $24,400 was subject to sales tax. Probably comes down to whether the other forum allows cross-origin requests to its images. Looks like teslaownersonline allows them.
And in 6 states you could buy a new one for $30k ish before the end of the year. Eeven Ys are around that but only in some states. Yes and it is meaningless. You could have gotten money back if you traded in some Porsches. There is a fire sale going on in some 6 states before the end of the year with after taxes prices in the $30k range.
You trade in what ya got. In my case, the first generation, lowest trim Prius Prime had become driveway "sheet metal art." It was a poor match to my requirements while the 2014 BMW i3-REx was. Bob Wilson
I remember $29,000 and change. The new car depreciation along with low opinion, I was happy my last drive was to Nashville and leave it. We signed the titles and off in the Tesla going home. Bob Wilson
Do you or anyone else know when they added seat and steering wheel heaters with “Auto” mode? We were really impressed with that on our latest test drive in Carlsbad, CA. (I believe it was a Model Y). FSD still too aggressive with accelerating…
Auto mode is available on all vehicles with heaters built in. Seat heaters were available on the original model 3s and Ys. Heated steering wheel was added later, sometime in 2021.
