Happy with all features of my '07.... except the two front console cupholders. Since none of the common provisions to accomodate assorted sized cans/bottles/etc., such items just slide around in an unsecured (and annoying) fashion. Have looked for aftermarket solutions w/out success. Any suggestions? Am I the only one troubled by this seeming significant deficiency in an otherwise nicely designed interior? Jim

One of my few minor complaints with the car is the cup holders. I agree they don't hold most cups securely. It seems that in this age of common-place OEM cup holders, most of a consistent size (smaller than Prius'), that cup manufacturers and retailers (like fast food chains) have made their cups thinner and, for the larger sizes, taller -- and top heavy. I haven't spilled one yet, but I'm afraid I will during a sudden stop. For my coffee, I've been on the lookout for months, with no success, for a travel mug with a wider base that fits more snugly and is less likely to tip over. Let me know if you find anything, please.
You're probably used to cupholders with a little spring-finger that pushes against the cup [whatever size it is] to help stabilize it. Try taping a little piece of foam up against one side, maybe? . Because, of course, it's all about the cupholders. . _H*

Now what about those bottle holders in the front door panels; have you tried using them yet?
They work fine for me, except with coffee mugs where the handles keep the mugs from going all the way into the holders. Our other car has front cup holders that only work with coffee mugs; everything else tips out. Figures, doesn't it. <_< Tom

My drink of choice is a 24 oz bottle of diet pepsi. It sits securely in either of the two front cup holders in the center console or in either of the two rear cup holders. The only place it will not fit is in the cut out areas in the front doors. I have not had a spill, not even a near spill with a quick stop.

If you position the handle so it protrudes over toward the glovebox, its pretty secure and you can reach it. The interesting thing is that the rear cupholders fit these mugs better.
