Clicking Sound on Regen Braking

Same here with my 2011.

 

I have had mine done twice under warranty, my advice just ignore it as it comes back after about 15-20k after replacement. I now have 108k on the prius without issue, clicking since about 75k

 

I have 17 Prime with 83k miles and started noticing this clicking/ticking/clunking sound when the car slows down and near the stopping point. If this front axle is the problem and many complained about it, shouldn’t Toyota need to recall??

 

Is that noise most noticeable when you're turning while slowing?

 

Not necessarily. Just slowing down and just before the car comes to a stop.

 

Same with my Toyota Prius 2013. I Still have the car. It’s never been a problem. It’s just annoying when you hear it. It’s at over 230K now and running well.

 

I took my wife's 2017 in about that a few years ago. They looked all day at it. Finally, they went out to the lot and drove a brand new Prius. It made the same sound. I just ignore it.
