that's all. As someone who wanted to be a car designer from the ages of about 8 to 18, that's a damn good looking vehicle <3 I love my gen 3 but damn! I'm gonna go see one in person in the hopes that the hatchback is considerably smaller so that I don't covet it 100% hahaha

Don't get too carried away give it about 4 years and see if we wind up with an engine that's having the same issues as the ZZ engine in the gen 3 with what's going on with this thing there's no way I'm going to be more trusting of Toyota as we move forward I imagine it's only going to somewhat get worse like everything else has gotten product wise in the last five or six years. Pretty sad situation actually but at least we're not having the problems that Kia's having.

Just a note: Toyota's ZR family of engines is a successor to the ZZ, and the Gen 3 uses a ZR engine, specifically the 2ZR-FXE. The same engine (with minor modifications) was also used on the Gen 4 and now on the Japanese 1.8-litre Gen 5.

yep, that's the main problem / dealbreaker right there... Lack of interior space.

People have returned them because they felt too cramped.

And as I gen2 fan I feel that way about Gen3.

I will rephrase that to the Z engine family the 1N is not a Z engine per se.. And that 2 l that they've put in the latest iteration or whatever is going on seems to be a detuned A engine for the most part The A engine hasn't done so well in the Camrys but hey what do I know I know I'm not buying an A or Z series engine for our stables I learned a lesson with the Z two of them actually and I already know about the Camry with the A engine they're sitting around all over the country You can find beautiful Camrys 2009s and what have you in mint condition blown engines now they've been sitting around so long they're not in such good shape anymore the interiors in the headliners are falling down and they have similar problems with the door panels as the Prius has and so on and so forth a lot of that stuff you can't easily buy and if you can buy it used it has the problems that yours has the door panels and trim and all that stuff it's not just your car it's happening too. you know?

Nice car, it was the interior space that stopped me in my tracks

And I imagine The interior quality also which is lacking in every new car even a Bentley It's unbelievable but these things are made for four or five years and a new loan That's where manufacturing has backed you into there's no quality anymore That's almost a thing of the past just look at famous maker things if you're into that kind of thing quality things you used to be able to depend on and purchase have become junk or their name has been bought up and the new owners have turned it to junk I could go firing names off and models and stuff but it's not worth all that most of these younger folks today don't even know but they'll never get or see and that's the point.
