    Beat out the Model 3 and a Porsche among others.

    In other news, Motor Trend going to 4 printed issues a year. Publishing is a challenge, (I do my part, 1 Daily, 1 weekly, two monthly not counting MT)

    I suspect it is a "most improved" award versus an actual vehicle-to-vehicle comparison. The refreshed Model 3 is not available, yet, and Tesla has a reputation for not loaning out press vehicles.

    To get around the no loaners actuality, MT went and bought a Model Y. Page 74

    And you have to test what is available.

    No mention of where the Model 3 came from.They did testing for 2 days. Generally favorable review of the improvements with disappointment in actual range test results. And yes, the powertrains, battery and structure are carryovers from the previous year which count against its advancement in design score. It did rank in the top 3 overall.

    "Still, in the realm of $40,000ish long range EVs, the improved Model 3 deserves even more of the buyers' attention."
