Looking at a 2013 Prius 4 with a blown HG for $4800. Seller states p0300, P0302, P0304 codes, with misfiring & rattle. Confirmed coolant in cylinder 2 from Toyota.

142k miles, clean title. Checking it out tomorrow but seems to be in good condition. Is it worth $4800, or should I negotiate lower?

Check the door panels and armrests especially the fronts see if they're caving in when you put your arm on them That's a major issue for me Believe it or not finding good door panels is almost impossible for this model they didn't make a base model with all plastic door panels they're all the same problem. And any of those other things that tend to fall apart on the generation 3 look at the seat bolster on the driver's outer seat back knowing what I know now about the engine and whatnot No I would not do it was easy engine is the problem.

get an engine and brake actuator replacement cost, then see if it's worth it.

The car seems to be worth it if you can perform the work yourself. There are other maintenance items you would need to do as this car approaches 150k miles. You really need to get a list of maintenance items already performed, so you can better assess the total cost later. At 150k miles, it's almost like rebuilding the entire drivetrain.

    Repairs needed soon

    1. water pump
    2. brake booster
    3. hybrid battery
    4. head gasket
    5. shocks/struts
    6. brakes
    7. change all fluids
    8. exterior paint
    9. and more

so you see the list is a big list for cars this mileage. If you decide you are going to pass on it, please let me know so I can check it out LOL.
