Hi Pirus owners, I started hunting for the 23/24 Prius in September. Dealer cannot allocated the car I wanted so I custom build which will arrive in January next year but had the wrong interior color due to a dealer mistake. My dealer was lucky enough to find the car I wanted, but the dealer drove it all the way from MD to NY. The current mileage is around 300. I am wondering whether I should buy a new car with about 300 miles on it. what do you think about it? I asked if there was a discount, but they said there was no such thing.
congrats and welcome! i wouldn't hesitate to buy it if you like it. 300 miles is nothing in the scheme of things. i once bought a truck that the dealer had to drive 400 miles for. i thought it was pretty good that they would do all that work, including 2 employees to go down and back (unless they traded vehicles with the other dealer) putting 800 miles on one of their vehicles at no charge to me. there's no cheap way to move cars. all the best!

I wouldn’t worry about it. We had a Prius (traded in for a Niro, which I dislike, but that’s another story) that had 200+ miles on it that I’m pretty sure were the result of test drives. The car had been on the dealer lot for 9 months it appears (this was 6 months into the pandemic). Car was flawless.
