I just bought a 2012 Prius V package 5 sight-unseen from out of state. It has the ATP but does not have the HUD or Lane departure options, has everything else in the package. Dealership has no clue why those two options were not installed on the car. Are their two ATP packages? A cheap one and expensive one? I got jipped!
I can find nothing on Google that says their are two versions of the 2012 ATP. Your saying the regular 2012 prius cars get those features but the V doesn't? That makes no sense at all!
Congrats and welcome! Forget the dodads and focus on the Prius v issues. How many miles on her? Search here for egr circuit cleaning, 5,000 mile oil changes and oil catch can. All the best!
I agree. The 2010-2015 Prius and the 2012-2017 Prius v all are gen 3 engines and share oil consumption, blown head gaskets, failing brake boosters, weak inverters and the expected hybrid battery issues. All are expensive. Right now the forum has a problem uploading pics or I would include a table that shows standard and optional features. You can google “2012 Prius v brochure” and see that information.
It has 113,000 miles on it. I have not yet taken delivery, it's being driven to my home in Virginia from North Carolina probably Wednesday. I put $1,000 down to hold it until check gets to them via UPS.
Yes. They are different cars. You’re paying for a larger vehicle. You get a pano roof but the regular Prius doesn’t. Do you consider that a rip off? You get a Pitch and Bounce control for the suspension and more cargo storage space and reclining rear seats. The regular Prius doesn’t have those.
Pitch & bounce? Don't see that in the V brochure! For $15,000 yea I should get the HDD radio not the basic 2 gen one, and get HUD and Lane Departure. Those are software add-ons, how hard is that for Toyota to add into the car? Blind spot woukd have been nice also. These missing items maybe reason amjng others peoole stopped buying the V and it got discontinued in 2019. Toyota is famous for their chincyness!

My 2012 Prius V package 5 with ATP does not have same features this guy has at all. No power seats, no HUD, No lane keep, not sure about Entune either.

To correct you yet again...After late 2014, the Gen 3 engines did not burn oil and have different pistons and rings in them. This is the reason I don't recommend lurkers to even visit this site due to the disinformation posted here .
Lurker? I'm not a "Lurker" I'm a registered member sir! When you mentioned cleaning I had no idea what you were referring to and besides that I never asked anything about oil consumption! You got me confused with somebody else.

Our 2012 v Five has never burned a drop of oil between 3,000 mile oil change intervals. Not saying others haven’t.
