I've been paying on a 36mo lease via autopay for 32months without a problem. Today I get two emails. One saying my autopay has been cancelled the second saying my payment information has been deleted. I think I've logged into the TFS site once and that was 36mos ago. I've made absolutely no changes. I logged into TFS and after poking around a while I see the current payment was denied. The account is a savings account and the payment was requested as checking. That explains the denial but who/what would have changed the account type. I called TFS and they had no explanation. I set up a one time payment to handle the rejected one and set up a new recurring payment to, hopefully, handle the remaining payments. Any insight appreciated. J
That's an interesting one. Do you use a bank or a credit union? My credit union recently changed around how they identify saving, checking and loan accounts. My debit card somehow became linked to a different account (still one of mine, darn it!), causing some problems. I rarely use it, so it was actually a month or more before I realized what was happening.

Probably just a slight change to transaction software/security settings by your bank or the recipient's bank. The important thing is you got a notification and dealt with it right away rather than not knowing and one morning looking out your window to see a repo man towing your car out of your driveway.
