Just like the title says. Is there a widely accepted best option? Prefer to just plug something in obviously. Thanks
I am also interested in a Led solution for the headlights of my 2006 prius, any shared experience will be more than wellcome
I bought and installed Hikari bulbs in 2019 (these ones) and they have been solid since. Make sure you get the ones with the little reflector over the forward portion of the bulb to maintain the original beam pattern.
I also recommend hikari products. Still the best mod would be to install projector retrofit kits. My hikari bulbs have a sharp cut off and are a huge upgrade over the oem bulbs. The light fill isn't perfect but they certainly do not blind anyone. Amazon is the spot to pick them up, i also bought mine back in 2020ish for the prius and they're still functioning 3+ years later. I also put a set in my camry which has oem projectors and they are amazing. Ultimately I'm going to put projector retrofit kits in the prius but my original headlight assemblies have seen better days. Even with polishing unless you clearcoat them they get ugly again real quick. So im debating trying some headlight clearcoat after polishing again or just buying a set of new headlight assemblies. Hikari has a new h4 set that's in the 30ish dollar range with the shields that provide better light output. Really good performance. Rockin one of the two h4s in my motorcycle. Zero issues, sharp cut off.
