Timing chain or tensioner?

    I got P3190 - engine power low.

    Could be timming chain or chain tensioner?

    You've got a roll around the crankshaft pulley a couple of times and there's some marks that you should be able to see on the cam gears every like ninth time or something around they'll all line up but you have backlash and that's why you have that play You need to turn the engine in the direction that it turns run it around and put the number one piston on top dead center then most of that will be gone and you'll be within spec I'm pretty sure how many miles on your car is the main thing It looks reasonably clean when you rotate it around correctly most of that play will be gone try it

    Check if the yellow paint is still bright yellow (not overheated). When it is overheated, the color becomes dull. Replace the tensioner if it indeed does not work properly. Some Prius 3 owner has tensioner problems. It is usually rattle a bit in cold starts.
