Replaced my HID headlights today, and after adjusting beam height I moved the car and found this small u-shaped rubber hose. Anyone know what it goes to? I think it’s from passenger side, possibly near washer fluid reservoir? edit: it’s a 2009 touring edit 2: there appears to be foam in it. Maybe to act as filter?
Yes that's a breather tube that goes on your headlight housing there's a little titty that you'll see and that goes to it is to let moisture and vapor pass through the system If you look in the parts break down you may see a picture of it. I don't have a headlight assembly off to flip over and take a picture of it.
Couldn't find the specific part description/number, but found someone selling a headlight assembly, and their image shows the part in question. Adding this pic as reference in case anyone else has this same problem.
Thanks for that I have a real problem posting pictures and voila now everyone knows where it is these are common on tail light and headlight assemblies in many imports and I guess nowadays not imports.
