Hello, up for sale is my 2012 Prius. Car is black over tan leather, trim five, including the Advanced Tech Package (HUD, LED headlights, JBL, Lane Keep Assist, Radar Cruise, etc). This car was shipped with every option except the solar roof. I am the second owner, bought at 29k miles. The car has been well maintained first through Toyota until around 60k miles, then from there on the car has been serviced and worked on by the awesome team at Hybrid Pit in Buena Park, CA. This car has always turned heads, people always ask about it. The majority of the miles (90% or so) put on this car have been highway cruising on SoCal Freeways between 65 - 72 mph. This car has never seen rideshare, mixed heavy city use, or anything of that nature. This car comes with some aftermarket extras that mainly serve to keep the car more stable through cornering/ and/or at highway speeds when braking or making a lane change. At Hybrid Pit an Oil Catch Can was installed at around 100k miles for additional eyeing of engine health at oil change intervals. I had every plan to keep this car, but with a garage limitations at my current address, I am unable to garage it and would rather sell to someone who is looking to maintain and continue to use it. As of right now I am using it weekly for shorter runs, but I do not hesitate to take it from LA to OC or SD as it does these trips just fine. The only major repair this car has needed is the Brake Booster Assembly / ABS module unit (began to fail shortly after the extended warranty for this part, TSB bulletin), which was replaced with a factory new one at 183k miles. At that time we also did new rotors, pads, fluid. The most recent major service was at 199k which included a full EGR cleaning (first one was done at around 100k), Fuel Injector service, CVT drain and refill, spark plugs, oil change. The overall condition of this car is top notch for it's age and mileage. I would give the exterior a 8/10 (some small scratches here and there) and the interior closer to a 10/10. The back seats have been sat in a handful of times since I've owned the car. I keep my cars extremely clean. This car is as good as it looks! It sits perfectly. The engine runs well and I drive it just as I always have. It will consume small amounts of oil if driven on the freeway at speeds of over 75mph, but around town and under those speeds, the consumption is rather minimal. If you are planning on driving at sustained higher highway speeds, I have added Lucas Oil Stabilizer at times during oil changes to be proactive. Occasionally I have noticed a shimmy coming from the engine bay at idle, but nothing that has gotten noticeably worse or increased within the last few years. This car has had normal EGR cleaning services as well as other normal engine services. (it will come with all the papers from servicing) A few small things need tending to: The JBL amplifier seems to overheat and will turn off if used at higher volumes but seems fine for lower volumes and/or talk radio, the front sway bar endlinks creak if they are dry, as do the front springs, the back right window regulator needs to be recalibrated. The car has a clean CA title, no accidents or smoking, up to date registration, smog, located in SoCal. You may have seen this car on instagram, as it was the first Gen III to fit new Corolla XSE wheels. The car will come with the original OEM tails as well as a set of unused snow chains in the current tire size. I'm hoping I've remembered everything at this time. This car has really served me well and I hope it can go to someone looking to continue to take care of it. This has been the only car I've owned that has never left me stranded and has literally started up every single time all while giving such great MPGs. Good on you Toyota for creating such a car.
