Maybe someone can help me with something. I thought if a 2nd gen had the jbl 6 disc changer, and the buttons on the steering wheel for push to talk, on and off hook, it had Bluetooth. I just picked up a 08, no navigation (4 buttons around mfd), but it has jbl system and all the buttons on the steering wheel, but there is no option for phone in info, and the phone related buttons on steering wheel don't do anything. Push to talk doesn't do anything either. Map button pops up a message that says external system not connected. Am I crazy, or am I missing something? Suggestions for things to look at/try?
Hi there, I've got 2006 Prus with JBL 6 disc changer. I paired my Android phone and I can pick up calls - the problem is when I finish a call, the system does not want to return to the radio mode. I press red phone icon and it does nothing. I need to turn off the bluetooth on my phone so it can return to the radio mode again. Have you had something like that?
Someone previous to your ownership may have removed the nav player from under the front LH seat to sell. Not really a problem as you will in all likelihood be using your phone for navigation. It also sounds like the 7-button MFD was replaced with a 4-button MFD without Bluetooth and voice control again to sell off for a quick profit. EDIT. I just noticed you tagged onto this thread (known as hijacking, BTW), so this reply is really for the OP (original poster). In your case, does it make any difference if you end the call using the steering wheel buttons?
