2012 Aqua Issues

I purchased a NZ new aqua earlier this year in February, the car had 121,000 kms at time of purchase, since then I have driven the car only to and from work 4 days a week and never had any issues. I have been the only owner of the car in NZ and have driven very safely, no accidents. Until the weekend where the car suddenly flashed all lights on the dashboard and started beeping. I pulled over and restarted the car but it won’t drive or reverse and the steering is extremely stiff. The car had almost a full tank of fuel so I am concerned and wondering what the issue could be.
