Doesn't this steering wheel design make more sense with the digital cockpit?

    I have driven multiple Tesla models with that steering wheel. It’s ridiculous, impractical and awkward in real-world situations.

    The S is boat with a horrendous turning circle. Using the Yoke always reminds of this scene from Austin Powers:

    That's why you can't simply change the wheel at the end of the steering column.
    Tesla might have been assuming people wouldn't be steering anyway.

    Tesla did put the traditional steering wheel for the models that came with a Yoke as an extra add-on couple of years/months later.

    Reminds me of the pushback I get when bemoaning the dangerous degree of distraction required to do something like change vent mode, people saying “why would you want to do that; just leave it on Auto”.
