first mods - removed the plastic Prius letters from the trunk and dealer licence plate frame Amen to that!! How much money are they giving you to advertise their dealership?.. Ahh none I bet m
The LE looks great in red with the black wheel covers! I’m not a big fan of these in your face LARGE lettering, other day car companies have done this, and I’ve noticed Toyota is doing some on other models! Not crazy for the AWD badging either that’ll probably come off also! Enjoy!
It's a funny thing. Went to a Lexus dealership event, and I swear, the product 'expert' went on about the individual L E X U S letters, and how they denoted a premium product. And there you go and remove them!! Clearly, Lexus has to revisit its focus groups, if owners of the humble Prius disagree with them!
"Why stop at removing them? Add something else. Seen a Ridgeline with an Audi emblem." Back in the days of a website called "siennaclub", an owner had removed all his Toyota badges and model identification and rebranded his Toyota Sienna XLE Limited as some fictitious model of Lexus. Went to a lot of trouble... wonder if it ever confused the dealership when he brought it in for service. Or maybe they just charged him Lexus rates for Toyota parts and service.
Congratulations Mrlarrys! Red is beautiful! Someone had taken the Harley Davidson name off of my last two motorcycles, but we all knew what they were.
One of the engineers said, it would change the look of the car! I’d love to see somebody do a photo shop so I could see it? My gosh sweep the snow off and turn the defroster on. The digital mirror will sure be handy✌️
I was planning on removing the “T” embalem from the hood of the car but notice there is an engrave area for the “T” embalem. do you happen to have a pic of hood without the embalem?
I like this car in red the best. The contrast with the black really shows it off (even more so with red and dark glass roof). It does draw attention to it perhaps a bit more than I would like. Not a problem for me, as mine is blue, which also looks sharp. On the debadge of the PRIUS across the back, that is pretty cool to remove. I considered, think I'm too chicken, might mess it up. Also, those letters coming off the red car look sweet, but it's less noticeable on the blue where the black lettering is less prominent. And, I kinda like showing off that this is a Prius even though Toyota is not paying me for the advertising. Just happy to have the car.
I have been having a hard time choosing a color because I don't like the available colors. I did have a new Barcelona-red-metallic 2009 Toyota Corolla in the past, and I thought I wouldn't have a red car again, but the LE seems to look really good in supersonic red, and perhaps I will go with red if I trade in.
Just got one in red. I'm not a flashy guy, but it looks really damned nice in red! Zero regrets or second thoughts on the color.
It is looking great—especially with the black wheel covers! Color is personal, but I think the black and red are the best Gen 5 colors. Along with the dark blue, they are also by far the rarest. I am still on a waiting list for a black Prius Prime SE. Sometimes I think if I should get a red one, but I have never had a black car.
