I've seen the one's Amazon is selling. Hoping the additional memory will make a meaningful difference. Can you supply a link of the one you bought?

I'm sure there's some of that going on. Lots of junk on Amazon with good reviews. But there are a few people here and on other discussion boards that are reasonably pleased with these units.

I put an eBay head gasket in a customer's car. I immediately afterwards had to eat the job as I had to redo on my hands. 16 hours plus $100 in fluid. When you're not excited about doing a job, it takes more than 16 hours

Cheap plastic brake master cylinder which is injection molded. Probably 3D printed. It lasted 2 hours cracked dumped its contents all over the motorcycle causing the brakes not to work. Almost resulting in death

Chinese brake pads that are glued onto the backing plate and separated. Because after all how do you remove glue? Same way you remove loctite you heat it. What a novel idea. Let's glue our brake pads onto the back end plates

Chinese screws with a thread pitch not as specified

Aftermarket screws on CFM jet engines are currently causing a320 to come out of the sky. Check NTSB on this one

Chinese 12 volt multi plug interrupted the can bus system on a Prius causing the car to throw all kinds of error codes pop fuses and be disabled

Chinese OBD2 Bluetooth dongle caused error codes and two cars. I immediately afterwards destroyed it with a hammer

People from China can elaborate in greater detail because they know that the government is so oppressive

I have too many stories of Chinese parts.

He didn't buy a Chinese car. And why is that? So why are you putting Chinese parts in your Japanese car?

You know that lots of these spark plugs that say NGK on Amazon are actually fakes? Why would you trust your engine with ceramic being dropped into it?

Why would you think you're saving money on an oil filter when you're risking your engine? Because when the glue that holds it backing plate goes through the motor.

People think they're saving $20 on a part, but they forget what their time is worth. And worst of all Chinese brake rotors have soft spots. So it pulses just like if it were warped. Why would you risk your life with this stuff?

What you like about it, don't like about it. How is the glare, any better than the original head unit.

I posted some views on post #17 of this thread. There is glare when the sun hits it.

I'm happy with my Ali unit. PP made a good point. A bad device from China can have a lifespan just over your dispute period. Some can either be dangerous. Ali reviews are of little value. Some lie about specs. Use a stock photo instead of photo from the HU they're selling you. Some sell fake Android units. Hacked to display a higher version of Adroid then the software really is.

    What I did. Researched
    Android Head-Units | XDA Forums
    I bought a Klyde unit.

Posters post on firmware upgrades. What issues they have. Solutions.

I wanted a prius specific HU. Buttons on the side. A regular 2DIN unit, I would have bought something like a Kenwood. Buy a closeout model if you want to save money.

edited to add Posters advised using a USB thumb drive and not SD memory when upgrading firmware. The memory card reader on my HU is reported to be extremely low quality.

One example of what some of the PP are implying
