My new to me 2008 Prius has a missing volume control knob. You can stick your finger in it and turn to adjust the volume.

But I also have a 2009 Prius that I am selling that does have the volume knob.

Can I just pull out the knob on the 2009 and stick it on the 2008?

Is the '09 being sold for junk ?
If not, that would be a REALLY dirty trick.
    BEYOND rude.

Much better to visit a salvage yard.
They should be able to get you a knob that will fit for about a buck.

Or one from a dealer can't be THAT much.

OK so is there only ONE yard nearby to you ??

So try some custom car audio shops.

And have you actually asked a dealer if they can order one ?????
    If not, why not ??

Considering swapping the volume control knob from my 2009 Prius to my newly acquired 2008 Prius, which is missing its knob. Has anyone attempted a similar swap, and does it seem feasible?

The knob seems just to pull straight off, at least, that is how I put a new, 3d printed knob on it. However, the 3d printed knob seems a little weak.
