Yeah, thanks- already bought one off Amazon, yet the ratcheting kind- will be easier to work with in tight placed. Will be delivered here tomorrow.

Finally installed the Lexus dual horns! One thing to note; I have friggin big hands and had a he'll of a time getting my fingers in there to put off the connector...I wish the play from the existing connector allowed the wire to pull above the cowling...but anyways, once the old horn was put, it only took 10 mins to put the others back in and align them....what a difference! No more 'meet meep'!!!

I'm not surprised at the difficulty. The repair manual says to remove the whole front bumper cover to replace the horn. lol

I just ordered a set of horns last week, and I plan to do that upgrade and the silencing of the UFO at the same time. And I'm not removing the bumper cover either.

Good luck to you Hammersmith! I actually LIKE the UFO sound. Tonight, when exiting a parking spot, a couple was in front of us, and they both smiled at us when I put Agyros in reverse!

Replaced the horns today with the Lexus ones and it took 30 minutes maybe. No drilling, no splicing, nothing. Took the cover off under the hood, took the old horn off, added the two horns to the spots where they are meant to be added. Zip tied them longer cord to make it clean. Replaced the cover. Shut the hood then I got horny…my neighbors were probably wondering why I kept blowing the horn. Easy peasy.

Congrats Mntlkaos! I feel much more confident with the louder dual horn when I'm in traffic!

Just installed a pair of aftermarket Mitsuba 440/550 hz horns I picked up in an auto parts store in Tokyo. Just used spade connectors including into the fuse side factory connector. Vast improvement & louder than my scooter now!

Did you guys need to disconnect the battery before disconnecting the horns? I noticed the instructions suggest it but don't know if it's necessary

Update - just finished upgrading my horns. No need to disconnect battery. Simple plug n play as mentioned. Only catch is I had to re-install my horns after reviewing the photos in this thread so they faced each other. Not sure if this matters though.

I installed the dual Lexus horns today without disconnecting the battery; no problems. And what a difference!

Didn't disconnect the battery on mine either- only disconnected the plugs and used the socket to undo the stock horn, then first plugged in, then attached the right horn (if looking from the front of the car), which is where the EOM was, then after, plugged in the left horn, and attached that as well. No need to zip tie the wires. They are well out of the way of any moving engine bay items.

I put the horns in, and only needed the horns, none of the other stuff in the box. I got Toyota Premium horns on ebay. Came from Japan. Made in Japan.
Seeing how easy I bought another set of horns for $15 on Amazon to use on a 96 Toyota truck. It uses the same connector as the 2020 Prime. Same type of mounting bolt. These are made in China. Great upgrades.
No need to disconnect battery if using the old connectors.

It doesn't matter which way the horns face, inward or outward, just that the opening faces downward so water can't collect in there.

I just got the horn today and wanted to adjust the bracket of the horn on the back but I wasn't able to. Does anyone know how to unscrew the bolt on the back of the horn?

Use an open end or crescent wrench as the nut is shallow. Some sockets or box end wrenches have too deep of a chamfer on the opening. Mine did work. Hold the inner screw from turning with a philips as you are loosening the nut.
