I have a 2018 Advanced and of course entune is terminally broken, replaced by the Toyota app. I can see my car, and it’s state of charge, but cannot access the climate remote under the “Start” > “Start Climate”. It times out while “connecting”. The app says I have a valid subscription, and does get some info from the car. Location or find a charging station doesn’t work either. So what am I doing wrong, or does it just not work with the Gen 4 car?
I have a 2017 Plugin and I have found the same issues. I was trying to get it to update its street map, but I have not been successful.
On my 2018 Advances with the JBL 11” screen, the map update is a micro USB in a slot on the bottom above the drive mode switches facing upward.
It never fully worked correctly. I could get car system status, but asking the car to do something (remote systems control) was a crap-shoot. Didn't bother to renew my subscription. The insurance app portion probably works, but that was one of the first things I disabled. Don't want the insurance company knowing the posted speed limit (RSA) and my speedometer reading. Just saying. How many times do you jump on the highway and the RSA is still reading 35 mph....
2017 Advanced here. I can see the charge level and start charging. Remote climate seems to work. But the vehicle finder still seems to be broken, despite verbal claims from Customer Support that that functionality has been fixed. For a while I was actually in touch with a real person, but my "incident" seems to have been put into inactive status.
