I need a shop or mechanic in or near Carnegie, PA to replace the Gen3 engine in my daughters 2014 Prius V. The engine will be a rebuilt engine from HybridPit in California. The shops I've spoken to don't want to put in an engine that was not purchased through them. I'm looking at two options right now. Either ship the car to California to have it done, or find someone here that is competent to do the swap for me. Also, I can deliver the car up to 300 miles away from where I am. The only stipulation is that you must have experience doing this, and the folks at Hybrid Pitstop have to approve it. Thanks, Patrick
There is going to be more $$$ problems after the engine. Traction Battery (big battery in the trunk) $2000 + installed Brakes System ( master cylinder and accumulator) $2000 + installed Inverter Blows Up (covered but very inconvenient) These are very well know and documented problems with this generation prius.
No thanks.... And What makes you think I have a Chevy.... And I know more about the Gen 3 than you ever will.
