Noise going into gear

    After my car has sat in the garage over night, I get a scratching/grinding sound after starting the car and putting it into reverse. Sometimes it's not very load, other times it can be quite loud. No lurching movement or anything like that. I am really baffled on what is causing it.

    Just placing the car into gear will load the pad/rotor rust bind and cause it to ‘break’.
