After my car has sat in the garage over night, I get a scratching/grinding sound after starting the car and putting it into reverse. Sometimes it's not very load, other times it can be quite loud. No lurching movement or anything like that. I am really baffled on what is causing it.
yep, the rotors rust very easily with just a little moisture in the air. best to scrape it off slowly before you really need the brakes.
It doesn't seem to matter. I can hit the start button, and put it in reverse before the gas engine turns on, or sit and wait in park until the gas engine turns on, then put it into reverse and hear it. It will not do it anymore until it sits overnight.
