Up at the top of the screenshot of the Toyota app next to Odometer it’s showing N/A? I have successfully charged my new prime more than a few times, and I’ve always been able to track charging status, etc on the app. Usually next to odometer it tells you the miles remaining that you can drive on gas and EV and if it’s charging how long until charging is complete. I can’t see any of that now. It is most definitely charging as I went and checked, and it told me 5 hrs remaining. Under notifications on the app, it shows me what time I started charging, but there’s nothing on the Home Screen like there used to be. The app also seems to be running goofy slower than normal. Has anyone else noticed this or anyone else having issues? I did a hard reset on my phone, make sure the vehicle software is up-to-date and opened and shut the app multiple times? Any ideas?
Charging or not, as soon as you log into the app, you can normally see how many miles remain on HV / EV next to odometer.. It just is not there now? Car is plugged in and charging… I also just now tried fully logging out of the app and logging back in and it still the same.
Happened to me one evening after charging. A few hours later it came back on with all the usual data and has been good since.
Mine has been doing the same thing today. I think it's something on Toyota's end. On another note, the Toyota app in general is hot garbage. Change my mind.
Charging is Complete and now it is working as it should!! Weird! Either way the app was acting very slow and goofy today. But 7.21 KWh from a fully dead battery? Is that right? I ran it till 0% SOC and had the ICE kick on right down the street from my house, and I pulled in and started charging earlier this afternoon. Oh and I’m still waiting for my EV range to update to a higher number as others have said theirs have. Edit: I think I forgot to account for the top end battery threshold so maybe the 7.21 is correct? I just thought it was closer to 10 like other people mentioned.
Is the 7.21 kWh as seen above the actual usable battery for EV? That’s all it took on a charge from completely 0 SOC. I thought I seen in other posts that it was closer to 10 or 10.5 of the 13.6 of the kWh battery? I guess this is better though, less to charge.
App charge is totally bogus. Divide your total miles by total rate: Eg. 45 miles / 4.3 mi/kWh = 10.5 kWh. Or multiply the delta SOC time 10.6 to get an estimate of battery power charged Eg. full charge from zero = 1.0 * 10.6 = 10.6 kWh Only thing useful in charge history is the duration of the charge, If the charge took 10 hours at the max (12amps) setting, then it drew approximately 10*1.44 or 14.4kWh from the wall.
