    Hello Forum Members,

Having strange issue with 2013 Prius Plugin MFD randomly flashes Fuel Lid Open, Ready Fuel, Fuel Lid Opening-Please wait only while driving in Hybrid Mode. In EV Mode no issues. Car runs fine and no other fault code. Already replaced the fuel lid switch assembly from ebay and check the existing switch. Read good.
Any help to resolve the issue is appreciated. Just a nuisance message flashing randomly.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

have you changed the 12volt battery? Sometimes a bad battery will give very strange symptoms.

Do an electronic load-test on the battery first; local battery retailers often have such testers, and will test for tree. Or DIY with something like Solar BA9.

You could DIY test it's voltage too, if you've got a multimeter on hand.

Checked Battery and is reading 12.5 Volts. Charged the battery as well with trickle charger. It charged in less than 1 hour. Still same issue with Refuel Ready message on MFD. Any suggestions? Thanks.

there's a whole system in the pip that doesn't allow you to open the fuel lid until it depressurizes. (see the o/m)
maybe there's a switch under the lid that's bad?
otherwise, you might need the trouble code
