Had a really bad smell of blown resistors. Have had issues with blower motor in the past. This time replaced blower motor, blower motor resistor, and blower motor wiring harness. I still have no power to the motor. What else can I check. I have checked the ac fuses that I can tell anyways.
A multi-meter is inexpensive.......but can be a valuable tool. There may be a fuse you are overlooking. It may not be labeled as AC, since it also provides heat and ventilation.
I have test lights and a couple of multimeters. Did some testing tonight and all the fuses j see the drivers side tested fine. Under the hood on the right side, only 2 work. Wth. I pulled a few and they appear fine. Now what?
I don't have access to the online repair manual and it's full and tiredy to just be able to browse and read at my leisure but I'm pretty sure in these fancy pants cars that there is a climate control computer that more than likely controls the fans under the hood the blower fan in the cabin the related pumps that move coolant around to keep everything cool so on and so forth I'm not so sure that it's just a simple switch like in the Corolla where you turn the fan or a potentiometer from low to high and that's what happens here you have all this auto mode touch screen display there's no real fan switch that we are allowed to touch It's a soft touch screen which generally means you're running a control box somewhere which of course will have fused controlled items like blower. But me thinks you'll be going through a big long drawn out whole section of the manual to test the necessary functions to figure out if the computer is bad the MFD is messed up whatever the case may be but it will come back probably to some controller of some sort for that system unfortunately.
What exactly does that mean......"only 2 WORK" ?? At this point, it sounds like you need a wiring diagram to trace the voltage from the switch or control board to the fan. If it is an "automatic" system, a shorted fan might have taken out the control board too.
