Hey all- finally picked up my Prius! The aftermarket wheels look to me just like the XLE's 19 inchers, although these are 17 inches! Thank you Discount Tire for accommodating me although I was stuck in traffic to get to you for almost an hour! They rocked and did all 4 wheels, balanced and did the TPMS in about 1/2 hour tops!

Those wheels are using the same sized tires?

    Looks nice!

    Sweet! Congrats!

Remember to break her in by driving very conservative the first 1,000 miles and then get the oil changed. (I believe the 23's use 0W-16)

Yes, they are the same new Toyo Tires- just picked it up at the dealer and drove directly to Discount Tire to get the wheels installed; the wheels are from VOXX- Lumi Wheels

Yes, I'm already obsessed in the first 23 miles I've driven with the Avg. MPG gauge (and yes, I know it's not exactly accurate, thanks to others on this forum)!

What is the width and offset of your new wheels? I'm considering MSW Type 42 which are 7" width and 45 offset.

I had purchased center caps aftermarket from eBay, 62 mm, but they ended up to be too big for the opening- I like the silver, clean look of the current Voxx Center Caps, so I think I'll leave it alone and return the eBay ones.

Are they lighter than the stock LE wheels? If so, might be a small MPG (and performance) increase.

I've heard that for many years, now. But The Car Care Nut YouTuber, who's a Master Toyota Mechanic, confirms it on his channel...even showed little bits of metal in an oil change on a new car...stuff you don't want floating around in there for any amount of time.

It’ll be interesting to see the mpg with that wire by rim
it will be interesting to see the MPG with an 8 inch wide rim

The dealer had a disclaimer on the paperwork that talked about the 1000 mile break-in period.

Not sure how much the black alloys and hubcaps weigh, but the Voxx Lumi s weigh in at 22 lbs a piece. So far, my mileage has been in the mid 50's with the mode on normal.

so night and day from the black 'aero' wheels- I was going to give those a chance, but when I saw the standard wheels in person, I knew I made the right decision to get the new wheels. No brainer for $ 600 installed, all 4 wheels.

"Surprisingly, Toyota fitted the Prius LE with 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, instead of choosing the cheaper option of steelies. While the alloys will most likely remain hidden under the wheel covers for the majority of the vehicle’s lifetime, they reduce the unsprung weight which translates to marginal benefits on fuel economy and ride quality."

    Found this on the web.

I've inquired about the weight on the LE wheels from a seller online. I'll report back.
