I'm embarking on a long-gestating server migration today and so I will be putting the site into a read-only mode once I begin the file transfer process. There will be some downtime as I change things over, thanks for your patience. I'll try to keep this thread updated as I have information to share.
Let's hope @bisco sees this before the shut down ..... https://gmauthority.com/blog/2023/09/chevy-bolt-euv-recalled-for-faulty-portable-charge-cord/ .
oh yah, luckily mine won't be built until october, unless the uaw strikes, in which case i'll have to restart my search. seems a little silly to hold back sales of cars on the lots until new chargers are available. lots of buyers already have a setup in their garage.
good question. i have actually begun a search, but i'm finding the same as before. ev's on lots are expensive, and prices are not coming down (yet?) i'm not interested in a $46,000. bz4x, or $50,000. ariya. they don't even get the fed tax credit. tesla m3 is still the best deal out there at 31k after state and federal credits (other than bolt)
I logged in about 1pm Monday Sept 11 and tried to use the Gen 2 troubleshooting group. At 4:31 Saturday, it appears that this THREAD was started but was the migration also started then? If so, the preliminary message still says to expect some downtime today, in which case do you have a feel for when site will be back up? If the site IS back up and is no longer read-only, here's my problem. (If it's still read-only, that explains my problem, so ignore the rest.) I TRIED to start a new thread, entered a title, then saw nowhere to click to enter the message. I had no option than to test putting message into the same box, but was told 'enter a valid message'. Now I see no button to start a new thread. I have always found starting new thread to be very difficult. Why the button to start new thread isn't there at all or fails to start new thread is a problem. Maybe I'm prohibited from starting new threads. If so, what should I do to rectify this? Maybe I'm just not very observant. When it's there, the start new thread button is near the right-hand corner of my screen. Please don't get me wrong, I sincerely appreciate your (and others') extensive time spent maintaining the site. Dave Slomer
Anyone else have movie-themed stills to post? (...to post with love and appreciation for running a forum)
Update: I started all of the data migration on Saturday, started feeling yucky Saturday afternoon and wasn't able to focus well. This migration is not exactly something I want to be doing when I can't focus. So I took a break as the 30+ GBs of attachments were being moved. Woke up Sunday morning and tested positive for COVID. So I've spent the last couple of days just kinda relaxing and recovering. Again, data migration is not something I want to be doing when I can't focus 100% on it. So, now the migration timing has been moved to "this week". Thanks for the patience!
Aw rats! Sorry to hear you are sick. I had to move a 1000Gb+ archive back in July and you're right, it's not something you want to lose focus on. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
bummer dude! I hope you feel better, covid is really starting to heat up again. and here i was thinking how smoothly everything was going
Look at the bright side Danny, now you can get you some of them there natural immunities & you'll be good to go for a year or so! .
Feel better, Danny. No rush... P.S. If you could add the Gen 2 Venzas to the vehicle list, I'd appreciate it.
