I already got a small scratch on the silver area low down in front. I was pulling my car into the garage slowly for a charge and there was this wire basket like thing on the ground that was used to encase a tree trunk from deer. The sensors did not pick it up because it was just insubstantial enough to miss. I was deeply annoyed and have since made sure on my own that here’s nothing on the garage floor before pulling in.
Lol i think that’s stretching it a bit..altho ive heard the teslas are built a lot worse than they look so..
Cars and Bids review is pretty underwhelmed by the driving experience in the 2023 Prime. While I agree the engine in HV mode SOUNDS like it is grinding away, I don't see how he is not more favorable about the actual handling and driving experience. Practically every other review is impressed, some to the point they are laughing about driving a fun Prius. Anyway, I don't care, I think it is a very fun car to drive, handles well, plenty of punch, and that comes from someone who has forever driven European cars because I like the way they drive.
Yeah, he's a supercar snob. But I didn't expect him to be factually incorrect in his review. Had I watched this all the way to the end before posting, I likely wouldn't have posted. No, the current Prius handles NOTHING like its predecessor. Odd statement for sure.
I found the review pretty “even”; like his reviews. Don’t see him as a snob by any stretch; he has a passion for unusual, “quirky” cars.
Just posting this because the 17" wheels caught my attention - not the standard one we're used to, nor the steels Mexico is getting. They were naggingly familiar though. I've identified them as the "MODELLISTA WingDancer XX" from the Japanese accessory brochure, but with Toyota caps. Wonder if they're considering shipping with those there? Would they normally doll show cars up with accessory non-factory parts? Do I need those? Hmm...
Those are the wheels I've been looking at for months. I almost impulse bought them again a few days ago. They run over $1600(including shipping) for a set at BlackHawkJapan, but I think they might "only" be around $1200 at ImpexJapan($800 for the wheels and $400 for the shipping). That's basically twice as much as some others on here have paid for a set of aftermarket 17" alloy wheels. (No idea what the costs would be in Finland.)
https://youtube.com/shorts/HY_nk70gOTE?si=V-iW8zKA0ESfdZd2 Too bad they didn't include the coolest sound, and that's when you shut the car off. Sounds like some kind space age secondary propulsion system winding down.
