Manual OEM roof rack installation??? Gen2 obviously

I can't for the life of me find a copy of the installation manual. The European Toyota site has removed all info before 2009, so the below link won't work anymore.

Supposedly it was this PDF file (but as said, nowhere to be found).

Reason: I have an original OEM version and I want to fit it for the first time. Correctly and with as little damage as possible (I have some presumably original >1" round protection stickers as well) .

 

I did read about indentations, but it wasn't clear if they were caused by usage of the roofrack or already present (I presumed the former, being more of a paint damage than an actual indentation).

Having tried to put them on, I found the identations indeed to already be present. I outlined them with pencil on the roof (the indentations are far wider than the roofrack arresting-part) and put the roofrack in the middle of the pencil marks. This solved my main issue: where to put them!

I torqued them to 9 (I guess 9Nm?) with the torque imbus/allen key that came with it.

Now to see if the box, used on previous cars, will fit the very wide bars...

Still interested in the actual manual and the torque settings (I have a more reliable set of torque wrenches (including small settings) than the provided version).

One of the reasons for looking for the manual is that I don't know what these hooks (1) are supposed to do. They have the same thread as the 'original' studs (2) that slide into the aluminium cross bars of the roof rack and are then kept in place horizontally (left-right position in the rail) by the rubber strip. (It all came with my second hand set of rof bars, so no clue if it is original, but it doesn't look hand-made.)

(3) is an attempt to make a replacement for (2), but with a thinner stud so it will fit my own roof box or whatchamacallit. I borrowed my father-in-laws roof box, but it is much smaller than my own. And regardless if I will ever use it, I want all parts to be ready if I DO need to use it. (Father-in-laws box has bigger mounting holes, if I were to drill bigger holes in mine, it would compromise the rigidity of the metal rails inbedded in the plastic, so that is not an option).

BTW, my own (3) version is made from a 'slotbout' (no clue what the English name is, 'lockbolt' would be the direct translation) and an Ikea part.

No mention of my obscure parts, so pretty sure they don't belong to the roofrack. And good to know I should use a 'key' of sorts to remove the covers... I just jank them off (and I don't have said 'key' anyway).

 

It's hard to read but it says in the manual it is 75kg but you should also observe the maximum weight the manufacturer specs for its car. It's a Toyota Prius roofrack, so either I'm interpreting it wrong or it's weirdly written: I hope Toyota knows the rating of Toyota...

75kg is 165 lb or 1 washing machine in American units.
