Another scumbag attempted to steal my cat, but was foiled by my cage! They cut the O2 sensor wire and I was hoping to just splice it back and heat shrink it. But.... 4 wires - 1 blue, 1 white and 2 black. Any idea how I can get the correct black to black? If it's a big deal I'm not against replacing the sensor, for the 3rd time.
The two black wires go to the sensor heater. Shouldn't really matter which one goes where (ie, there's no "polarity"). Just check the condition of all fuses for the ECM - I'm sure you know that cut O2 wires can short and pop one of them (don't recall which one it is). The white and blue are for the sensor signal output, so of course just match those up when splicing. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Thank you! Going to get right on this. Side thought/question which I will start a new thread on if I decide to persue: this seems like a good place to put an alarm trigger wire, either connected to the car alarm or an aftermarket/secondary, no?
