190k. 2013 Prius c. Just did rear hub bearings, front brakes, shocks, sway links and tie rod inner and out. Fixed a coolant leak. Put in Maintenance mode, performed Pressure test to check my work and the pressure rose fairly rapidly. Did a reld chemical test and it’s green. Blown head gasket?
Maybe. But that is not common with the C engines. I certainly would NOT start tearing the engine down based only on that one test.
Well, last effort Before taking it to the shop for them to find the leak, I put a new radiator cap. Drove around for a few hundred miles and not losing coolant! I find it hard to believe my luck could be so good, and will keep an eye on it. : )
