The navigation system display screen cracked and looking for a replacement and looks like oem replacement they are asking for replacing entire unit which costs unreasonably high. The system is functional and only the touch screen is cracked and not usable and looking for suggestions to replace it. Not finding the right parts for the specific model JBL e7048 (oem 8680447220-whole unit) but find a few on ebay for e7022/e7038 and don't think they are compatible. Don't want to go with the alternate suggestion by dealer to go for non-oem compatible models like Pioneer or NEC as those won't be compatible with the buttons and those will be redundant and will loose the functionality of controlling ac/vents etc.

    Thank you.
Already looked at eBay and there’s e7022 and not sure if that works as mine says e7048. Not finding it anywhere else.

HVAC is controlled separately on the Gen 1 Plug-in so is unrelated.

You can generally get wiring harness adaptors to connect aftermarket head units to the steering wheel controls and the reversing camera (if fitted).

I have a 2012 Prius plugin with same model of JBL E7048 that was DOA when I bought the car, Toyota wants $3500 for a new one, which is insane, have shipped off for diagnostics and estimate is between $275-$425 depending on processer or LCD replacement with a 1yr warranty on their service. Does this seem like a reasonable amount for a $3500 stereo or has anyone found this exact unit on eBay for cheaper than 350? Let's say average, with a better warranty?
