    Hey all,

We switched a working motor to another prius but now the vehicle will not turn on at all. The Christmas lights turn on and the vehicle says something along the lines of the p lock being locked.

I do have a techstream device and was able to pull up codes. I tried to google search them and understand what it could be.. but perhaps someone else with much greater knowledge can tell me and my dad what it could be?

Attached are the photos of the codes.

A couple of questions I don't know all the codes by heart but they were easily Google and you have somewhat of an understanding of what they are this happens every time I change an engine or make major changes to the Prius I have 04 through 2013 so that's generation two and three usually I ask how long is it been that the other car or the car you're putting in service has been out of service a week two three what have you and of course you've tried clearing the codes since you've got the thing all assembled everything is plugged in go over all of your connections and everything You've got gateway communication problems and all that from what I see on your screen so like I say you just want to go over all of your connections especially electrical Make sure nothing's pinched left unplugged the bottom codes for the air conditioning right now You can disregard One of them I believe is for the solar sensor if the car is in the shade well there you go so disregard those just worry about the C codes. Is your 12 volt fully charged and ready and up to snuff for duty??? This is always a big thing here people will run around in circles with this and be like on the fourth day of posting oh God my 12 volt was only 11/3 you know whatever so just check that seriously.

Hard to read on a phone, could you have pinched a wire or left something unplugged?

You have enough error codes for it not to be mechanical problem but loose or damage wires/plug problem. Check you work and make sure everything is plugged in and not damaged.

Yes and I would like to know all of the Prius experts how are you making tests on these plugs on these computers even my flukey test leads will not get in those plugs they were not small enough You've got to have something smaller than a paperclip you know the tip of a maybe a sewing needle to stick in the plug to touch your test lead to to get a reading? I haven't seen any fancy test leads that have hypodermic needle size pieces of metal on the end of them I mean they're only going to be used on 12 volts that's not enough to really worry about burning them up testing computer circuits I mean you wouldn't use these to test the battery with.
