Big Big thanks looks like 10 minute job once you know what you’re up against !Yeah, the older gentleman points out the spot where the second one should go if you watch closely! I like they’re genuine Toyota parts!

New to the forum, first time Prius owner, first post.

My thanks to the OP and all who contributed to this thread. My son and I installed the Lexus horns today with no issues, no swearing and an end result of a respectable sound emanating from our ‘23.

Just installed this horn set, works great. It took almost as much time to remove the packaging as it did to do the installation!

Could someone post a short video of installing/swap. I saw the long one and I'm still confused. Thanks

Got mine on Monday. I’m going to install it this weekend. I’ll try my best to make a video. Not sure how I will do it. But I will try. No guarantees on the video.

Thank you Jim. Followed your lead and the install and results were exactly as you described. No more whimpy horn!

Glad you like it! Knew you would! . This is one of the very few 'no brainers' to add to the 2023 for sure!

I finished the install today. I was going to try and record the whole thing. But that was too hard to do by myself and it was really hot outside. But I did make a video on how to connect the wire. I'm hoping this helps. The stock horn is only one horn on the right side. The mounting part is pretty straight forward. Honestly everything was pretty straight forward as Jim said.

    Here is 2 more videos:

I still think I'd be smart to run a relay to power the horn based on how wimpy and anemic the stock one is. I'd imagine the wiring and switch in the steering wheel is also not expecting the draw of Twin Freeway Blasters. I ran a relay for the installation on my Trail bike of these horns. It is quite an eye opener how loud thet are.

I would like to thank all the members in this thread for all sharing your time, efforts and knowledge, I greatly appreciate it! Yes, the stock horn is rather... wimpy. I just ordered the Toyota Premium horn set from E-Bay and it should arrive in about 2 weeks. It should be a quick and easy install thanks to you all, cheers!

Just replaced the stock horn with the premium kit from Ebay posted within this thread and wow, what a huge difference! The meep meep sounfing horn was "ok" on my 2013 Prius C, but just didn't fit the character of the Gen 5 Prius. The premium horn sounds great, with a "premium" sound to it. Overall, it took me a whole 15 minutes to do the install since I took my sweet time doing so, as I also used electrical tape to wrap up the blur wires and used zip ties to tidy all the wiring up. The previous posts and photos from fellow Prius Chat members helped a ton, much thanks!

Thanks everyone for your great comments and videos on this! I've just ordered the dual horn from eBay- I was embarrassed when I honked on Sunday for the first time when someone tried to cut me off.....it was like I was holding one of those toy horns we had as a kid!

Installed these horns today as well. So much better then stock, very similar to the horns in my previous VW GTI.

I went to a "salvage" yard and bought a Ford Explorer horn. They're pretty loud.
I installed it on my Tacoma. Pretty easy and it was <$20
Going to do the same on my Prius

Does anyone know the size ratcheting wrench is needed? I have to buy some because I don't have any, and I need to make sure the set includes the correct size. Thanks in advance!
