Trying to see if the '23s address some of my pain points with my '21 Prime. I hear the mandatory back-up beeping is gone, which...was a big one. My question is around the remote A/C - Is there still a ~3 minute delay from being turned off before the Prius lets you remote start the A/C? (I'm in the U.S.) I often run errands with my dog, and sometimes I need to pop into a shop and have him hang out. On mild days I can just crack the windows and he's fine- but I'd prefer to give him A/C on hot summer days. I could just leave the car on, but it doesn't let you lock the doors with the fob while the car is on. Teslas have dog mode...but there are lots of reasons I don't want a Tesla- even though they're now in the same price point (eye-ing the limited trim with solar roof)
Use the emergency key and all the doors will lock electrically while the car + AC is running. Be VERY careful about leaving anybody in a car w/o AC, even in mild temps. Imagine if you were incapacitated somehow. Who would know to go rescue your pup?
On my xle I can keep the car running with the AC set and lock it with my fob. Might want to make a sign or something that says "car is running and AC is on, don't break glass". Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
