This morning I opened the lower glove box routinely but could not and can not get it to stay latched. Has anyone else had such a problem on a 2004? I will go to the dealer on Tuesday unles I can fix it before then. Thanks

Not in this case John. The latch had been working normally and had not been previously removed. Afer it would not latch I removed it and checked per your instructions.
I too have a broken lower glove box button. I seem to only find the entire system. Does this button look broken or am I just missing parts? thanks
