Its a generic one i found on ebay, it has no brand name since its just something that came from china. Was only like $100. The only downside is the ram on it is weak so trying to use the internet on it is laggy. But i pretty much only use it for the app to contact to my odb2 reader via bluetooth, so its worth the convenience i get. And the radio too. Besides that, the limited home layout kinda sucks too the options are few and most look ugly. But its ok and way better than the oem outdated cd player unit

My little riced out sushi racer is almost done. 2" spacers front and rear, godspeed mono ss coilover kit, amazon wing and aero, and some 17s from an old subaru that I painted.

Bought a USB 3.0/voltage gage combo that was the correct 33x22mm size and installed it in the center console where the heated seat switch is if the vehicle was optioned that way. Way better than having a USB charger that plugs into the power port. I tied the wiring into the power point in that lower console panel. Super easy upgrade, looks clean and can charge devices way quicker now. Plus being able to check your 12v battery voltage and charging system at any time. Only about $25 for the charging port.

    The sensors are already programmed.

how does it handle a new sensor on one of more wheels? I've had to replace a broken sensor on one OEM wheel and I have 4 other OEM sensors on the set of 4 snows, but no way to program them in without techstream.

This is an aftermarket TPMS and it has external sensors that are valve caps.

So you can still have OEM sensors inside the wheel and these outside.

The valve caps come programmed to the display.

My first thought when I saw it as "I'd love to have something like it that just plugged into the diag port and read the pressures from the car."

Then it doesn't need its own valve-cap sensors, and it doesn't need any fuss with changing IDs (as long as those get registered with the car).

You can, by the same creator of Hybrid Assistant and it is called Tire Assistant.

But then you would only be using one app to see tire pressure and nothing else.

This way I can read the pressure without an app and use the OBD to use another app which will give me much more info.

Yes, pretty much only the tire pressure. but Tire assistant also desplays the sensor ID's and ( I gotta go check what the other one is) oh yeah tire temps. here's a pic. looks like a have two dead batteries or the cheap adapter is flakin out on me. Neither Hybrid Assistant or Torque like the adapter, but it still works somewhat in both of them.

I really like the look of both the USB and TPMS additions to the dash. Thanks for posting both of them.....

Where did you get this kit anyway? I’ve been looking around since you posted this but haven’t seen one with the display you put in yours.

Somebody could probably build a gizmo in the same form factor you popped into that switch cutout, only instead of its own radio sensor valve caps, it would have a tee cable to plug into the diag port, and show your tire pressures.

Then you'd plug in whatever other adapter and run whatever other app you'd want to run.

This aftermarket display is better than Tire Assistant because you can not drive with Tire Assistant and I want to keep a constant eye on it while I drive, this system also shows the tire temps.

I am actually having trouble with Tire Assistant not showing me the ID's and I was not sure how to tell which ones had bad batteries.

Here is the link to the product I bought.

I have issues even with DrPrius shutting down at times. It's only after I've been recording several trips of an hour of more though. I'm surprised that the apps still work on my phone with Android Oreo as that is 5 version older than current 13.

I found 4 OEM Sensors for the normal price of 1 sensor, so I went for it. I replace the one broken sensor and have 3 left over as spares. I got another set for the snows, at that price I figured tire assistant was the way to go for me. I just use a normal pressure gauge anyway and can usually tell when the pressure is low even if it's low only on one tire.
